The physical goal I aim for every day to keep my body moving and actively challenge my recovery.
Stroke recovery relies on neuroplasticity. Because the old pathways were damaged, I have to force my brain to build brand-new detours around the injury by physically moving.
Neurons that fire together, wire together. Taking thousands of steps isn't just exercise; it is practice. The more I repeat the movement, the stronger and smoother my walking becomes.
